Plant a tree. We'll look after it for three years — native Indian trees, planted as established saplings, cared for until they stand on their own.
Every tree we plant works for the city and the community around it. Native Indian species — Neem, Jamun, Mango, Jackfruit, Tamarind, Peepal, Banyan, Pongamia and Badam — are planted as three-year-old saplings and cared for until they can stand on their own.
We plant established saplings, not seedlings, because survival rates are significantly higher. Then we provide three full years of watering, weeding and manuring — the critical window when most trees fail — before stepping back and letting the forest take root.
Urban temperatures are rising as tree canopy disappears to make way for roads, buildings and concrete.
Air quality deteriorates, floods worsen without canopy cover, and local wildlife loses its habitat.
Trees work best when they are native, well chosen and properly cared for through their early years.
Carbon sequestration and filtering of particulate matter from the air we breathe every day.
Tree canopy reduces urban heat islands, lowering ambient temperatures in neighbourhoods.
Root systems bind soil, preventing erosion and restoring the natural structure of the ground.
As trees mature, migratory birds and local species return to sites we have restored.
Increased green cover improves quality of life and wellbeing of communities nearby.
We select species suited to India's soils and climate — Neem, Jamun, Mango, Jackfruit, Tamarind, Peepal, Banyan, Pongamia and Badam — to maximise survival and ecological value.
We plant three-year-old saplings rather than seedlings. Survival rates are significantly higher with established plants — it's the difference between a tree that thrives and one that doesn't make it through its first season.
Watering, weeding and manuring for three full years — the critical window when most planted trees fail. We step back only when every tree can truly stand on its own.
As the trees grow, migratory birds and local wildlife come back to the sites. It's the clearest sign that the ecosystem is truly recovering.
